I've always enjoyed historical fiction. Authors like James A. Michener (Centennial) and Ken Follett (Pillars of the Earth) had me lost in tales of past and ancient peoples from my teenage years already. Thus, when I decided to realise my lifelong dream of writing a book, it was inevitable that I'd write in the same genre, if not to the same acclaim.
Listed below are the books I've written and which are available as paperback or on Kindle via Amazon.

Charged with delivering a crucial order to Carthage’s commanders in Iberia, Caros must outmanoeuvre and outfight the relentless Roman advance across a land as unforgiving as the enemy itself. But when he finally returns home, he finds the war has already arrived at his doorstep. But Dubgetious is not forgotten. His mother, Lyda—an experienced warrior with nothing left to lose—vows to hunt down the Carthaginian host and reclaim her son. With a handful of veteran Bastetani warriors at her side, she hounds Hamilcar’s forces, striking at their flanks, never relenting.
As Dubgetious fights to earn his place among the mercenaries, Lyda draws ever closer, driven by a mother’s fury. But when the chance to kill Hamilcar himself presents itself, both mother and son face a harrowing choice—one that will test their honour, their loyalties, and their very survival.

Offgrid Boaters
One Couple's Alternative Nomad Life on a 25 Foot Yoghurt Pot
In 2018, Glenn and Mandy gave up their rented house in town to move onto a fifty-year-old cabin boat. With no practical experience of boating, they cruised down the Thames and onto the Kennett and Avon canal where they embarked on an exciting new life as offgrid boaters.
A cabin boat is basically a floating yoghurt pot. It’s nothing like a steel narrowboat and ours is older than us and still a beauty.
This is their voyage of discovery. The challenges they faced in downsizing to the space of a modern living room. The joys of summer on the water and the reality of icy winters.
Full of humour and loads of useful advice, this is an ideal read for anyone looking for a fulfilling alternative to modern living.
